Monday early morning, the air is teasingly cool again, the street is quiet, studio quiet, the espresso machine pressures up, there’s coffee on the horizon, Paul Krugman on the screen, facebook news from Occupy Wall Street overwhelms the birthday posts, photos from the lost weekend, cider pressing, another dish with scallops, the news not diminishing or dismissing any of these but, as any good journalist, “giving context,” which maybe just means adding meaning to what we are doing.
